Visual Illusion in the Real World, presented by the Vision Sciences Society

Visual Illusion in the Real World, presented by the Vision Sciences Society

Visual illusions have long perplexed vision scientists and delighted the general public, and we can encounter many of these effects in our everyday lives. This talk will illustrate some of the occasions where what our eyes see conflicts with what we know to be true, even in the ‘real’ world.

This public lecture will be delivered by Peter Thompson BSc, PGCE, PhD, FBPsS of the University of York, and presented by the Vision Sciences Society as part of its mission to promote progress in understanding vision and its relation to cognition, action and the brain.
